Hot runner nozzle seal

Moving needles in hot runners – with hydraulic cylinders

Whenever a hot runner with a needle is used in injection molding, there is a variety of options for moving the needle. In application with numerous cavities, the needles are often moved externally via hydraulic cylinders, similar to the way ejector plates work. Block cylinders are the first choice here. If the cylinders are to be integrated into the mold, our screw-in cylinders or built-in cylinders are good solutions.

Precise control

In case the needles need to be synchronized and controlled with great accuracy, this can be accomplished with a slider mechanism. Our block cylinders are very popular drive units for such applications as well.

Individual control

If the needles need to be controlled individually, this is usually implemented with proprietary solutions offered by various hot runner manufacturers. However, some of them already rely on our solutions (which is often invisible). There is no dedicated AHP standard for this as each manufacturer has its own philosophy in this regard. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested. We will be happy to develop your standard.
