Hydraulics for aviation

Hydraulics became indispensable in aviation back in the 1960s when the 'fly by wire' systems were introduced.

Aviation without hydraulics would simply be impossible today.

Aviation hydraulics are characterized by many special features and characteristics. Special hydraulic fluids such as 'Skydrol' are suitable for a very wide range of temperatures. Weight and installation space are reduced by using very light and yet strong and durable materials. Systems with redundancies and multiple layers of security are being used.

Apart from actual aircraft, there is another field of Ground Support Equipment, or GSE for short. It also places very high demands on operability, reliability, and safety with regard to the aircraft.

These special requirements are the reason why special applications are very common in this field. Such applications are overseen by our in-house design and development department.
