Handling, transporting, and processing coils
Thin sheets are wound up into coils after production for greater ease of handling and transport. These coils are then unwound again in a wide variety of production facilities where the sheet is straightened prior to further processing. Hydraulics are the ideal drive type for handling, transporting, and further processing of such coils as they usually are very heavy.
What are we moving?
The high power density of hydraulics for coil processing is used to move and position the heavy material. Additional hydraulic cylinders are available to generate the forces required for straightening and cutting the metal sheets.
