Hydraulic cylinder

What can we move for you?

Take a look at the following pages and discover the range and individuality of our hydraulic cylinders. AHP Merkle stands for 100% quality. This is why all of our products are fitted with hardened, ground, hard chrome plated and finely polished piston rods. Our flexibility and innovations guarantee precision products, which are always a step ahead. Customers from all over the world and from various industries all recognize this:

  • Tool and mold construction
  • Machine tool construction
  • General mechanical and special mechanical engineering
  • Aluminium pressure die-casting
  • Deburring tool construction
  • Hydroforming
  • Automotive

We will be adding a temporary energy cost surcharge of 3.9% starting October 10, 2022.

This is not a price increase, this is a surcharge to absorb the high energy costs. And we give you our word: as soon as the situation on the electricity market changes again for us, we will reduce this surcharge or discontinue it altogether.

Diversity and Flexibility

Our hydraulic cylinder program offers a lot of freedom to assemble individual cylinder types, but also all cylinder variants ex stock. The range is currently divided into 15 product groups.

Block cylinders from AHP Merkle are compact cylinder designs that have proven themselves over many years. Special mounting types, block cylinders with continuous piston rod and end position damping, with inductive sensing of the end position or adjustable over the entire stroke - our diverse block cylinder program offers the ideal solution for almost any requirement. Partly even available ex stock!

We have equipped our slide units, a further development of the proven block or hydraulic cylinders, with additional guide columns. This means targeted use of force! The large guide lengths also absorb extreme transverse forces. The compact design and the high quality standard make the slide unit a popular standard element for special machine and tool construction. Piston diameters, designs and strokes can be assembled on request.

AHP standard cylinders are hydraulic cylinders in round design and are available in three series (maximum operating pressure: 100/160/250 bar). The piston rods of AHP standard cylinders are hardened, ground and hard chrome plated as standard. Different piston diameters and designs are available. The stroke (up to 2000 mm) can be freely selected. Inductive proximity switches are available as an option - the HZ250 is even optionally available with a displacement measuring system. The advantage of each standard cylinder; very short delivery times and fast availability!

Our standard cylinders are designed according to DIN and ISO standards and are available in two series (maximum operating pressure: 160bar = DIN ISO 6020/1 and 250bar = ISO 6022 or DIN 2433). Piston rods of our standard cylinders are also hardened, ground and hard-chrome plated as standard. Various piston diameters and mounting types are also available. AHP Merkle also offers a wide range of accessories.

In the area of compact hydraulic cylinders, AHP Merkle offers two cylinder types. The short-stroke cylinder is equipped with Viton® sealing as standard and can be flexibly installed thanks to the external thread on the housing. The cube short-stroke cylinder was especially developed for short strokes and can be used at an operating pressure of up to 400 bar.

The core pulling unit was mainly developed for the mould making industry. Other applications where precise guidance is required are also conceivable. By using this unit, the complex construction of a guide, as it is necessary for example with core pulls, is not necessary. The core pulling unit is designed in such a way that for "pulling" the entire piston surface is pressurized. In contrast to a pulling cylinder, a smaller piston can therefore be used for the same operating pressure. The space saving can be up to 35 percent compared to conventional solutions. The precise guidance of the slide is guaranteed by the use of cross roller guides.

The cylinder with flange, is primarily used within mould making industry. The piston rod is also hardened and ground, and various mounting types are available. Advantage: All connections are always on one side. The same applies to our double-pipe cylinder - even with larger strokes! Piston rods of the double-tube cylinder are hardened, ground and hard chrome-plated.

Linear damping brings even more efficiency and performance to our hydraulic cylinders. For the first time, we offer adjustable damping - setting errors are thus eliminated. This means a higher comfort for users!

Other cylinders with special features complement the range, such as a hydraulic cylinder with external guide, a screw-in cylinder in round design developed for small installation spaces, and a cylinder specially designed for punching tasks. Numerous special cylinders complete our standard program.

Take advantage of the comprehensive consulting and competence in development of our AHP Merkle Team, whose entire driving force is dedicated to one maxim: 100% Quality!
