Calculation of the volume flow rate
Application area
This calculation tool provides the possibility to calculate the pump capacity in l/min, or calculate the maximum speed which the cylinder can reach with your hydraulic pump. Please consider the working direction, the efficiency and the quantity of the cylinders.
Not taken into consideration are system fluid leaks and losses.
Additionally, this calculation tool is calculating the recommended hose/pipe diameter for pressure, suction and return hose/pipe.
For the basis of calculating the pump capacity and piston speed the following formula is used:
- P = Hydraulic power
- Q = Volume flow rate
- p = System pressure
- v = Piston speed
- A = Effectiv cylinder surface
- F = Cylinder force
